Four years ago,
I had launched a challenge:
A FACE
TO MY DEAR FELLOWSHIPS:
VOLUNTEERING
TO GUINEA-BISSAU!
As a citizen/ concerned/ with his nation/, I come fraternally/ through this/ means, to launch a challenge: volunteering for Guinea-Bissau!
I, who did nothing / to that country / which saw me being born / and growing /, would like to return / return / in order to give my share / my contribution / to the construction / reconstruction / of that Nation / of the my embryo/.
I wanted/end my last days in that land, in order to feel real and totally fulfilled as a person and make up for what that Nation and my relatives did so that I, today, could at least be aware that I was writing and to reflect on my Nationmainly and about their problems. It really hurts me to hear bad words about my country, because it's as if someone spoke ill of me, that is, accusing me indirectly or personally.
Volunteering to make/ make the country evolve/ develop/ and allow/ return/ the dignity/ and happiness/ that those humble/ happy people deserve!
The objective is to get Guinea out of the situation in which, ironically, it cannot detach itself/and uproot itself: from instability, corruption, inertia, nepotism, clientelism, selfishness, from the misappropriation of the "public thing" , lack of respect for the human person, etc, etc.
it hurts me,
grind me
Everything that goes on,
and raging
In that beautiful country,
in that wonderful corner
Of my parents,
in that paradise
From creation,
of our generation
which is in degradation,
which is in rot,
And that urges and becomes necessary,
to your recovery
How great a Nation!
A short time ago, in my loose reflections, in this same space/, which I call/I call a bond/, I had asked the Honorable lords of governance/, of the Nation/,
respectively, mr. Vaz and mr. pear tree, to hold / hands /, to walk hand in hand / as brothers / in order to allow peace to our land! But, unfortunately, my appeal did not have the necessary, desired effect, did not have the expected echo in my brothers who led the destiny of our Nation.
I am willing to,
In this (my) feat
to find brothers
To go deeper
reflections
In order
to find
the platform
of understanding
And of resolution
of the problem
That affects our Nation.
I miss the time that never comes back, the time that is just in my consciousness, the time is just reminiscent of childhood, adolescence/, youth, my youth, in that beautiful city of Canchungo, especially in the Rotunda of Três Luz .! but it is not the nostalgia that I come here to talk about. I come to talk about a reality / worrying currently /, for all those who really love / that land, I come to talk about my challenge about volunteering in Guinea-Bissau. volunteering like the one I did in my tender 17 years in Canchungo, giving classes under a leafy tree, a mango tree, teaching and instructing my younger countrymen/compatriots, ABCD. I felt very happy at that time, to be helping my brothers! I felt very happy, because I was doing something useful to my community, to my society.I was also happy, knowing that I was sharing the same space, in an adjoining room, with my former primary teacher, the illustrious teacher Antero Sampaio da Cruz, teaching the little ones at the former Catholic Mission Primary School. Oh! how nice to remember/ and come back/ to live/ with the pleasure/ the time that doesn't come back!
I know and am perfectly aware/ that it is easy/ to say/ talk/ about what we are going/ or should/ do/. but, at the moment of truth, it becomes difficult /, its realization /, its implementation / because, many times, we fall into the same / error, in the same / circuit, in the same scheme / in the same / system / and to be/become/ even more corrupt than those we encounter/, than the current ones, than the previous ones. what is needed is THE DIGNIFICATION OF THE (DE) STATE'S APPARATUS, A STATE IN THE TRUE MEANING OF THE WORD.
